Euthanasia -
Dying with Dignity
A man is diagnosed with terminal cancer. The progression is rapid. Within a few months, things go from first detected, to extreme pain that even morphine won't stop. When the pain gets too be too much, what does our medical and legal community offer? Basically, just "Deal with it." Otherwise, you'll just have to take your own life. So, he's left with consciously finding a way to end the misery.
Most solutions are far from gentle. Taking ones own life. What torment a man must go through to end the pain.
Euthanasia has been legal in Switzerland for over 50 years and Norway joined them this year. There just aren't that many countries that seem to care about keeping a man's dignity in tact when he dies. How can we be so cruel? Who really benefits from our cruelty? Think about it. You might next.
